Project “Learning Lab for Integration” is created to deal with different aspects of the problem of integration of disabled people into society in participating countries and whole European Union.

Project consortium consist of four participant organizations with common operational goals each representing different approaches on national, local and organization levels:

• Coordinating organisation “Comperio” Ltd, Latvia;
• Partner NGO “Association of people with disabilities and their friends “APEIRONS””, Latvia;
• Partner “Point Europa” Ltd, United Kingdome;
• Partner Espiral Entitat de Serveis , Spain;

General aim of the project is to contribute to the integration of the people with different disabilities into society, education activities and labour market.

Specific objectives of the project:

• exploring the existing situation in the partner countries related to the inclusion of disabled people into education and labour market activities and identifying examples of good practice;
• aggregating information and best practice examples of the methodology used to teach and motivate people with different disabilities;
• increasing skills and knowledge of professionals that work with this target group;
• contributing to the people with disabilities participation in the learning process and thus integration into society and labour market;
• encouraging learning institutions to provide possibilities for disabled people participation in the learning process.

Main target groups of the project:

• professionals working with disabled people;
• education professionals and institutions;
• people with different disabilities that will not only be direct target group of several activities but also are identified as main beneficiaries of the project outcomes.

Main activities: to reach the project targets will be research, study visits to consortium partners, elaboration of the On-line Methodology Lab, Pilot Training course, Back-up events in each partner country, public awareness campaign. As horizontal activities treating all the project issues evaluation, dissemination and exploitation activities can be mentioned. Project will last for 2 years, and it is expected that its outcomes will persist after the end of the project creating “cascade effect” for project beneficiaries.
