Selection criteria:
Innovativeness:

The innovation in this case is adapting art therapy to people with intellectual disability.

Effectiveness:

The most notable results have been at an emotional level, people participating in this activity are now able to express more easily their emotions. This has a clear impact on the people’s quality of life. Emotional expression in people with intellectual disability is sometimes very difficult to deal with and art therapy achieves the expected results in this matter.

Satisfaction:

The fact that the activity is still going on, and that people use it regularly, makes us think that there is a quite good level of satisfaction, although we don’t have actual figures.
